The Bloomington-Normal Bass Club anglers have been working on breaking the five fish weigh-in at Dawson Lake for a month to no avail. 12 teams fished in light mist and fog, because what would a BNBC tournament be without some precipitation? We’ll let you know when it happens…
Nate and Randy again set the bar high with a single fish of 2.46 pounds to wrangle their second first place victory this year. They ate well that night, too, with a 6-plus pound walleye caught during the tournament.
Russell and Ferguson posted a second place showing with a solid fish of 2.18 pounds. Larry shared the wealth on Wednesday with the board, who quickly ate and drank their way to reclaim their donated cash.
Ron Bristow and Jim Sherman slid into third place with a 1.98 pound greenie, and slid Norris and Bayles out of the money.
Notables - Rod Wallace caught a brick (literally!) and Jerry caught hell for not knowing how to count the number of tournament entries. Be there next week to watch him remove his socks and shoes to count over ten!
