BNBC Tuesday Night Tournament Series - Lake Bloomington

After a month of single-fish weigh-ins, the tides turned on Tuesday night when Jamie Maisenbacher and Scott Bree threw the gauntlet and put four in the boat. They brought a total weight of 9.87 pounds to the scales, smashing all previous event total weights by a solid three pound margin. The anglers declined commenting on their winning pattern.

Following not quite so closely in second place was the Short Bus Guide Service team of James Hurt and Dennis Bierbaum with one solid bass tipping the scales at 5.12 pounds. Bierbaum caught the fish, which lends even more credibility to the “guide service” label Hurt keeps earning for getting his partners and co-boaters on the fish. This was also the event’s big bass, and set the bar a bit higher for the year’s big bass title.

Russell and Ferguson rounded out the top three with one bass weighing 2.76 pounds. No further information was available about their catch.

The Team of the Year race is heating up with Maisenbacher / Bree one point ahead of newcomers Barth / Eckhold and Russell / Ferguson just a few points behind in third. Check your standings on the Tuesday night circuit by selecting the YTD sheet in the menu to the left. There are still plenty of opportunities to advance, so join us every Tuesday night.

Notables: Jerry counted the number of boats (19) correctly without removing socks and shoes; Ken Petersen lost 4 fish to bring up his standings in the Brett Myers race.

Next week is our first time at Evergreen (for the Tuesday circuit), and things could get ugly with spawn right around the corner. The chance of landing the big one is at it’s peak over there according to some sources, so don’t miss out. We’ll start at 5:30 PM from the Comlara ramp.

If you want to know how we caught our fish all you have to do is ask and we’d be glad to tell you. I don’t anticipate that it would help YOU put any more in the boat so there really is no reason to keep it a secret.

I knew where you pulled them from, but forgot to ask if it was cool to post it, so I took journalistic liberty with the story. Hope you didn’t mind this week’s ribbing, either! I think you boys are well on the way to another year of TOY. I might just give you some competition one of these days, too, if I can pull my head out of my ass.
Glad to see you on the boards!

Good job Jerry and that 6plus. Was real surprised there were no more big fish than that. Was good tourny we got lucky on the bugs, wondering cause most of us fish everblooms and had such good success keeping fish alive what happened??
