The second Tuesday Night Tournament at Clinton Lake was hot. Air temps in the low to mid 90’s with humidity thicker than Aunt Jemima syrup made things slightly uncomfortable for the seven angler teams. Water temps in the low to mid 90’s made things slightly uncomfortable for everything underwater. Last time, there were four fish weighed in. This time would prove to be no different.
Chad Fandel and PJ Knott boated half of the event’s fish for their first overall victory in the Tuesday night circuit. They weren’t afraid to take that sweet Triton boat deep within the confines of the marina to handily smack down the competition with 5.28 pounds. With this win, they take the lead in the Team of the Year standings (points) over Scott “Put my name first!” Bree and Jamie Maisenbacher. Chad and PJ are coming on strong.
In second place and with the big bass of the night were Jim Sherman and Ron Bristow. Their fish weighed 4.34 pounds.
With the honor of being just out of the money and had the fourth fish of the night was Mike “Smoke Stack” Campbell, who fished solo and had one fish of 4.14 pounds. The Stack fished shallow in the grass for his bass.
